Andhra Pradesh CM has announced the launch of Chandranna Pelli Kanuka Scheme for the Backward classes (BC) Community. Subsequently, the state govt. will provide Rs 30,000 (previously Rs 25,000) for the marriage of eligible girls of BPL families. Accordingly, govt. will select 40,000 couples from the BC Community of the society. Henceforth, this scheme will benefit all the poor who finds it difficult to arrange funds for marriage and then been exploited by rich zamindars. Accordingly, interested candidates can apply online through the official website epass.apcfss.in
This scheme will help the poor families who spends most of their income on education, health and marriage. Subsequently this scheme will reduce the cost on these things and provide assistance to the backward classes. The state government will give incentives to the backward families of girl so that they can celebrate the marriage. Henceforth the start this scheme from 1 January 2018 (New Year Day). Below is the complete procedure to apply online:-
AP Chandranna Pelli Kanuka Online Application Procedure
The brides and her parents have to submit the online application form through the official website https://epass.apcfss.in to avail the benefits of this scheme. They can visit the MEE SEVA Center for uploading of documents / certificates along with intimating the date of marriage.
Eligibility Criteria for Chandranna Pelli Kanuka
- The Bride must belong to the Andhra Pradesh state.
- Subsequently, the girl must belong to a BPL family of Backward Class Community.
- The age of the girl bride should be 18 years or above at the time of wedding.
- In addition to this, male (bridegroom) should be of 21 years or above at the time of marriage.
- The date of marriage of the girl of BPL family should be on or after 1 January 2018.
- The parents of Bride must possess White Ration Card or BPL Category Certificate.
Initially the state government decides to provide relaxation in the Educational Qualification for both Bride & Bridegroom. This relaxation was to remain valid for the year 2017-18 and 2018-19. However from year 2019 onward, both the bride and bridegroom must possess passing certificate of 10th class to avail the benefits of this scheme.
List of Documents
a) Bride must submit Date of Birth (D.O.B) Proof. Subsequently, girl must possess Birth Certificate issued by Competent Authority through the MEESEVA Center.
b) The Caste Certificate should also be produced at the time of verification. Accordingly, bride must posses Caste Certificate issued by the Competent Authority through MEESEVA Center.
c) Latest Income Certificate of parents (not older than 6 months from date of marriage).
d) Candidate must produce Scanned Copy of Aadhaar Card of both the bride and bridegroom for uploading.
e) Bank Pass Book of any Savings Bank Account of the bride. Accordingly, the account must be in the name of bride.
f) Wedding Card (copy).
g) Recent passport size photographs of both Bride and Bridegroom.
h) White ration card of the parents of bride.
Moreover, the state govt. will implement this scheme on the New Year’s Day of 2018. For this reason, the state government has allocated Rs 300 crore for the successful implementation of this Chandranna Pelli Kanuka Scheme.
