The Delhi government has announced the date for admission to its five “schools of excellence” for the 2018-19 session. Accordingly, the medium of instruction in the school will be English for all subjects and seats in Class 9th are not restricted to neighborhood limits. Students who have cleared the previous class can apply for admission in Delhi School of Excellence.

According to the source, Registration forms with necessary documents have to be submitted by April 9 and the entrance test will be held on April 13. Results will be declared on April 19. In this article, Candidate will get the information regarding the eligibility, application process and admission process to Delhi Schools Of Excellence 2018-19.

The Directorate of Education (DoE) announced that a student can get himself/ herself registered manually for any one of the schools of excellence as per his/ her choice, and no request for change of school of excellence will be entertained at any stage.

  • Students from any government /government-aided/ recognized unaided school are eligible to apply for admission.
  • The student who have passed Class VIII are eligible to apply for admission to Class IX in these ‘schools of excellence’.
  • For admission student need to clear the entrance test.

The five schools are located in Khichripur; Sector -17 Rohini; Sector -22 Dwarka J.J. Colony Phase-II; Madanpur Khadar and Kalkaji. Each school has two sections and a total strength of 80 students. All registered candidates will have to appear for an entrance test that will be held on the same date and time for all the schools of excellence.

Although, the selection of students will be based on the merit in the entrance test of the respective school of excellence in which the applicant has been registered. The entrance exam will be of 2 hours 20 minutes having objective type questions. There are total 5 Delhi School of Excellence and the government will increase the number to 29.
